Frequently Asked Questions

1What is SKY Girls?

SKY is a community of teen girls who are all about being true to themselves and what they believe in.

We help girls connect, find a community and discover themselves through social media, at events, in communities, in school, and with our engaging magazines.

We support the girls’ talents by encouraging them to write articles, host events, and show off their skills. Education is very important to us so we help the girls see how they can make the most of school.

2What does it mean to be a SKY Girl?
SKY Girls are girls who have made the decision to be true to themselves and follow their passions. They're part of a community of teens who connect on social media, at events, in communities or in school, as they follow their passions and support each other to say no to the things they know they're good without. SKY offers girls opportunities to explore new interests and discover their own talents. SKY is led by girls – so whether it's writing articles, presenting a radio show, illustrating a cartoon strip, designing clothes or being math champions, we encourage girls to do their thing and support others who are doing theirs.
3Who can be a SKY Girl?

Girls between 13 and 19 can be SKY Girls. We believe this is the period of a girl's life where she needs a supportive community to help her find herself and stay true to her values.

4Our experience across Africa
